Apple Cinnamon-Stuffed Pork Chops
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 6 each, 2" boneless pork chops, split
- 1 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup diced white onions
- 1 cup diced celery
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh sage
- 1 tsp. dry thyme
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1 Tbs. cinnamon
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- 1 cup apple cider
Method
- To split pork chops: lie on their sides and cut 3/4 way through then open
like a book to stuff.

- Melt the butter and sauté the vegetables and herbs for 4 - 5 minutes

- Add chicken broth to mixture

- Mix the diced apple, bread crumbs, salt and pepper in a large bowl.

- Mix the vegetables with bread crumbs until all the crumbs are moist.

- Stuff each pork chop and top with cinnamon and sugar.

- Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes, until pork is heated to 150°F.
