2017 Cooking Classes for Kids & Adults

Our cooking classes for kids & adults have proven to be perennial favorites. Below is our list for 2017. Occasionally we add classes or update information so please check back often for new information!

Adult Cooking Classes

Add to your menu repertoire with Verrill Farm cooking classes. Taught by our professional farm stand chefs & bakers, some classes are demonstration style with tastings of what is being prepared & some are hands-on. All participants leave with new skills, recipes & food made during the class!

Come with a friend or make a friend - the classes are convivial, informative and fun!
  • Classes take place in the farm stand kitchen from 6 - 8 pm.
  • $35.00 per student. Registration & prepayment are required.

Want to learn how to make delicious dinners from grains - a healthy addition to your recipe repertoire? Kevin will demonstrate mouth-watering dishes using quinoa, wheat berry and farro. Tastings throughout class. Samples & recipes to take home.

School Vacation Cooking Classes for Kids

Menus, instruction and hands-on participation are geared for specific ages to make each class suitable & fun for the chefs-in-training! Kids leave with cooking confidence & the food they have prepared!
  • Classes take place from 3 - 4:30 pm in the farm stand kitchen.
  • $25.00 per student. Registration & prepayment are required.

Sleepover Spread - Baking with the Pros

Make at night · Serve in the morning! Menu includes overnight oats, French toast & breakfast buns with chocolate chips. Put these treats together, refrigerate overnight & pop in the oven for a tasty breakfast. Perfect for sleepovers, Mom's Day & any busy morning!

In this hands on class, kids will make Italian classics - calzones, manicotti & pizza - custom created with a choice of toppings! Kids will take home what they have made.
